Amsterdam, the Paralympics and Aerobility's aircraft hand control

Our front desk volunteer Wayne Riding paid a visit to Amsterdam last week.  More than just a sightseeing trip he delivered an Aerobility hand control ultimately destined for Paralympian snowboarder Chris Vos.

The hand control is an Aerobility initiative, designed and developed by our CEO Mike Miller-Smith when he realised that such adaptive controls, essential to lower limb amputee and paraplegic pilots, were not in manufacture anywhere else.

We suspect that Chris Vos will return to flying just as soon as he's finished competing in the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics!

Pictured here are Wayne Riding and Dennis Vonk, the licensed engineer who will fit the hand control to the aircraft shown.  The aircraft belongs to flying school Vliegschool Hilversum.
